I think many people who like Fred Thompson know more about him than his TV persona. Thanks too for this synopsis of some of his key votes. He’s at the top of my list for President!

I have looked at his past positions and those he is taking currently, and has made public thus far. I like him. So far I would say he is my candidate.

Voting one way or the other on a particular vote really does not mean much when so much ‘pork barrel’ spending is attached to these bills.

For example? If you vote no on a project for increasing the minimum wage and there is an add on for paying violent prisoners the same amount while in prison or including illegal immigrants the same wage or hundreds of thousands to study the sexual habits of love bugs how would you vote?

Why does the reveal always follow the next impending disaster? Shouldn’t congress have checked on this before?

Wow. He’s a much better candidate than I thought! Thanks for showing me why I should support him - he apparently is conservative and knows what the Constitutional limits on the Federal government are.

Except for the video thing, the rest of these are votes that reflect my views, because they are in keeping with the Constitution.

I see what point you’re trying to make how all the money would be better off in the people’s hands, but I think if the government is going to cause inflation in order to solve the economic issue, I think it’s a safer plan to invest it in corporations because of my sole opinion that the wealth will stream down to the people, if it works. It’s also easier for the government to receive cooperation from big businesses than each and every person. I’m sure not every American is going to put that money back into the economy. Some might save it and never put it back into the economy.

Plus it’s not like the bail-out bill is giving money to the corporations, the government is actually holding shares of that business. So, it’s pretty much buying part of that business. (Sprinkle of socialism, anyone?)

People should know he was a corporate lobbyist for companies like General Electric. Nothing but the same old crap.

Most know him, he can win.
